Keepers are a two-piece set of 1 nylon webbing; one double-ended loop is installed around the inside back strap of the boot, with the other piece attaching around the pastern with a Velcro fastener. These can be useful on trail rides or through water, particularly during initial fitting rides.
We do not recommend the use of keeper straps on flighty or fast-going horses, of course.
A handy item to use to ease your mind about losing an Easyboot. The keeper can be useful on trail rides or through water, mud, snow, etc., where a boot might be pulled off.
The keeper strap is not recommended for fast going, flighty horses or unattended animals. Loops around Easyboot back strap and Velcros around horse's pastern area.
